Non-Communicable Diseases Screening Test

Non-Communicable Diseases Screening Test

NCDs, or 'Non-Communicable Diseases,' are a group of chronic diseases that are not infectious and cannot be transmitted from person to person. These diseases are caused by our own habits or lifestyle behaviors. They progress slowly and accumulate over time. If left untreated, they can manifest as chronic symptoms, negatively impacting the patient's future health.

The WHO reports that NCDs are the leading cause of death among Thais, with over 300,000 deaths annually and the trend is steadily increasing. Shockingly, most die before the age of 60, an age when they are still able to work and enjoy family life. Examples of diseases in this group include:

  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Coronary artery disease
  • Stroke
  • Liver cirrhosis
  • Obesity
  • Dementia

NCDs Screening Test

is a program for screening for NCDs risk using internationally standardized laboratories. There are two programs:

Basic NCDs Screening Test

: Basic NCD screening, covering diabetes, blood lipids, liver and kidney function

Smart NCDs Screening Test

: In-depth NCD screening, covering hormonal system function related to NCDs

Recognizing abnormalities early improves treatment planning and disease prevention, with a higher chance of success than detecting them late. If you are at risk for NCDs, don't let it go untreated. Prompt screening and treatment are essential for long-lasting good health.
